Peer Review Process

Al-Ulum: Journal of Islamic Education implement each accepted manuscript will go through a review process by the Editor and reviewers, using a Double blind Peer-Review Process, which the reviewer does not know the identity of the author, and the author did not know the identity of the reviewer.

Al-Ulum: Journal of Islamic Education implement policies Double Blind Peer-Review, every manuscript received will be sent to Reviewers who registered in Al-Ulum: Journal of Islamic Education. The review process lasts a maximum of up to 30 (thirty) days with the allocation of time given to each reviewer to complete its review process is a maximum of ten (10) working days. If the partners designated bestari previously not able to finish his review work within the time limit specified then chairman of the Chairman of Editorial Board will appoint a replacement to do a review Reviewers manuscript.

In the review process, reviewers provide considerations relating to compatibility between the title, abstract, introduction, discussion (results) and conclusion. In addition reviewer also give consideration associated with novelty, scientific impact and references used

Editorial Process

 

Open Access Policy

Al-Ulum: Journal of Islamic Education provides open access service, which means that all the content is available free of charge either person or institution can directly access this journal freely to the public that supports the exchange of global knowledge.
Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full text articles in this journal without asking for prior permission from the Publisher or author. This is in accordance with the Budapest Open Access Initiative

 

Archiving

This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...

 

Autor fee

Al-Ulum: Journal of Islamic Education impose policies Open Access and can be downloaded for free of charge just for the sake of academic and scientific.

Scientific journals charge author's Contribution as follows: Submission : FREE 0.00 (USD/IDR)
Review : FREE 0.00 (USD/IDR)
Publication : 150,000 IDR (USD $11)

If the authors want the print version, the author pays extra cost 100,000 IDR/Eksp (inclusive postage)

References Management

References to other publications must be in American Psychological Association (APA) style and carefully checked for completeness, accuracy and consistency.

Retraction

The papers published in the Al-Ulum: Journal of Islamic Education will be consider to retract in the publication if :

  1. They have clear evidence that the findings are unreliable, either as a result of misconduct (e.g. data fabri-cation) or honest error (e.g. miscalculation or experimental error).
  2. The findings have previously been published elsewhere without proper crossreferencing, permission orjustification (i.e. cases of redundant publication)
  3. It constitutes plagiarism
  4. It reports unethical research

Publication Ethics

Al-Ulum: Jurnal Pendidikan Islam follow the guidelines established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (Committee on Publication Ethics - COPE-) in all matters related to the ethics of publication. Al-Ulum: Jurnal Pendidikan Islam adapting to meet the highest standards of ethics intended for editors, writers, and Reviewer. Publisher does not have the right to interfere with the integrity of the paper and is only responsible for publishing regularly and on time.

FOR EDITOR

  1. Editor Party Must ensure that writers follow the procedures/rules of writing in the Al-Ulum: Jurnal Pendidikan Islam.
  2. The Editor can communicate with the Journal Manager, Editor, and Reviewer other in taking the Final Decision.
  3. Editors should refuse assignments when there is a possible conflict of interest
  4. The Editor must provide manuscripts assess objectively without seeing aspects of nationality, ethnicity, political affiliation, ethnicity, race, religion, gender, seniority, or institutional affiliation author.
  5. Editors should refuse assignments when there is a possible conflict of interes.
  6. Editors must ensure that the manuscript sent to reviewers do not contain information about the author, and vice versa.
  7. Decisions editors must be delivered to the author with responses Reviewer, except for responses that are personal or libelous.
  8. Editors should honor requests from writers who refuse individuals to evaluate manuscripts for reasons unacceptable.
  9. When the Editor finds or suspects Violation action writing and conflict authorship, editors can follow the guidelines in the flow diagram in resolving conflict COPE authorship.
  10. Editor and all staff must ensure the confidentiality of all the manuscripts received

FOR REVIEWER 

  1. Reviewers are asked to provide an assessment of the substance of the manuscript in accordance with the Focus and Scope Journal and provide recommendations on assessment.
  2. Reviewers are asked to provide comments on the manuscript, if it is suspected find procedural mistakes of writing, publishing and publishing ethics
  3. Mitra Bestari can complete work on at a predetermined time and provide information to the editor if they are unable to meet the time limit specified.
  4. Reviewers must be able to be confidential manuscripts Author.
  5.  Reviewers should not accept manuscripts for appraisal, if potential conflicts of interest, both individually and collaboratively with any institution.
  6. Reviewers should ask for consideration to the Editor on the similarity of substance or overlap between the manuscript under consideration or manuscript that was published more in common with Author Author or other.
  7. privileged information or ideas obtained through peer review must be kept confidential and not used for personal gain.

FOR AUTHORS

  1. The author must ensure that the manuscript is original and not plagiarism.
  2. The author must ensure that the manuscript has not been published previously and have never been assigned the rights to the article to the other party.
  3. The author ensures that manuscript Send tends to the work itself and follow the standard rules in accordance with the format quoting the appropriate reference.
  4. The author must ensure that the manuscript is original and does not engage in plagiarism or automatic plagiarism and Self-Plagiarism.
  5. Authors must follow the procedures established of Al-Ulum: Jurnal Pendidikan Islam.
  6. The author does not send the manuscript together with the same topic and title to another journal.
  7. Authors should be able to provide information and make research data related details when the editor discovered the alleged doubts or falsification or plagiarism in the manuscripts. If the author finds any errors or inaccuracies that affect the manuscript which has been sent, the writer must promptly notify the Editor to immediately withdraw the manuscript writing and repairing.
  8. The author is not allowed to withdraw the article being reviewed by the reviewer before being restored by a Reviewer to the Editor.

 

Author Guidelines

Carefully read the submission guidelines as follows:
A. General Requirements
The minimum standard requirements of Al-Ulum: Jurnal Pendidikan Islam must be: 

  1. Manuscripts written in the Indonesian Language
  2. Writing at least 10 pages long and no more than 20 pages. Editors evaluate if the manuscript more than 20 page
  3. The use of a tool such as Zotero, Mendeley, EndNote or for reference management and formatting, and choose APA (American Psychological Association) Style.
  4. The paper begins with the manuscript title, author name, Author Affiliation, Address followed by an abstract written in italics (Italic) all 150-200 Words.
  5. If Indonesia language manuscript, then the abstract must be written in the language of Indonesia and English language of good and right. If the article United Kingdom, then the language abstract should be written in the language English. 
  6. Manuscript with the Online Submission System at http://www.ejurnalilmiah.com or portal (http://www.ejurnalilmiah.com/index.php/Al-Ulum/index). 
  7. Make sure that your paper is prepared using the Al-Ulum: Jurnal Pendidikan Islam paper template and Copyright Transfer Form when if it accepted.
  8. Notification of acceptance: within 30 (thirty) days after the date of the manuscript is sent.

B. Structure of The Manuscript

Introduction. The introduction should contain (structured) general background, the problem, previous literature review (state of art) as the basis of a statement of the scientific novelty of the article, a statement of scientific novelty, and the research problem or hypothesis. At the end of the introduction should be written the purpose of the article studies. In a scientific article, the format is not allowed for the review of the literature as well as in a research report, but expressed in the previous literature review (state of the art) to demonstrate the scientific novelty of the article and can be written development conceptually based on previous research studies.

Method. The method used to solve the problem is written in this section, Methods must be structured, clear and understandable as well as the right to use the method.

Results: Type the findings of scientific research in accordance with the method used. but must be supported by data and facts sufficient. No discussion on the results of research findings, this section describes only the findings of the research results.

Discussion: in this section is not re-write the research findings, but more scientifically reviewing the results of research, not restate data obtained research results. The scientific findings should be described in Science include: Do the scientific findings obtained? Why did it happen? Why such a variable trend? All these questions must be explained scientifically, not merely descriptive, must be supported by scientific phenomena. Furthermore, it should be explained also in comparison with the results of other researchers about the same topic. The results of the research and findings must be able to answer the research hypotheses in the introduction.

Conclusions: Each article closed with the conclusion that summarizes the answers of the hypothesis or research purposes or scientific findings obtained. Conclusions do not contain repetition of results and discussion, but rather to a summary of the findings as expected on purpose or hypothesis. If necessary, at the end of the conclusion can also write things that will be associated with the next idea of the study.

References. All references in the text of the article should be written in the References section. Reference should contain reference libraries derived from primary sources (journals). Scientific Journal of a minimum of 80% of the total bibliography) published last 5 years. Each article contains at least 15 (fifteen) reference was referenced. The format of writing used in the journal Scientific Management & Business is in accordance with the format APA 6th Edition (American Psychological Association). 

Writing citations and references using automatic reference management to be more consistent in writing citations and references using reference management application program such as Mendeley, EndNote or Zotero, or other.
